I oppose the DA II with regards to the approval of supragingival scaling. In practice, it is very rare that you see only supragingival calculus. It would normally carry subgingivally. Even a small piece of deposit remaining subgingivally will reduce gingival health and will cause disease. I take my job and the health of my patients very seriously and strongly oppose this issue.
