My name is Kara Downey and I was an assistant in a group home of Larche Greatrer Washington DC. I am concerned about the negative impacts to the changed definition of group home with a proposed resolution. Changing the definition of a group home in which no support staff may live in the home would dramatically change the success and stability of Larche. Larche is a community for people with and without disabilities and is a paradigm for how group homes should run. I encourage VA lawmakers to vote no on this definition and reignite the negative impacts to its best providers
