I haven't seen this issue addressed? And, would the fees be the same? And, what would happen in the event of a medical emergency. Would the assistan know what to do? And, what if the patient has questions about tools, rinses, the need for flouride and xylitol? And, what if the patient has medical complications that might require further education by their "assistant" cleaner? We took microbiology, organic and inorganic chemistry, physiology, biology, psychology, oral anatomy, oral pathology, dental emergency, speech, periodontology, sociology, etc, etc, etc for very good reasons and we use them daily. How is the assistant going to replicate that? We treat the body, not just the teeth.
