There is nothing about state parks or state forests that makes it inadvisable for citizens to carry personal firearms (pistols) if any citizen feels the need to do so for his/her personal protection or the protection of family or associates.  This holds for both open and concealed carry, and especially if the individual has a valid concealed carry permit.
