Thank you for the opportunity to provide a public comment. I am opposed to the NCLEP proposal because it continues to be restrictive and inappropriately favors CACREP only graduates.  There is no evidence that CACREP graduates are more competent than non-CACREP graduates. Given the great health disparities in mental health care to marginalized groups, all proposals should be inclusive and broad so as not to further restrict access to care and allow ALL counselors to do their jobs, which is to help people.  I oppose the proposal to adopt the NCLEP in VA.
