I have put myself through school in order to be able to perform high level medical care. I feel that allowing just anyone place IVCs will devalue our profession. What is the point of paying for a higher education when just anyone off the street is legally allowed to do the same thing as others have payed thousands or dollars for? Meanwhile, I do know some unlicensed techs who are great at their jobs. There should be some other kind of law that allows those techs that have been in the field for 10 years to sit for their boards and become licensed in order to legally perform other duties. Do not devalue our licensed techs and our field.
