I have been an "assistant" but considered tech at all my jobs. I place iv caths better than anyone at my clinic. After sticking a 2lb puppy on friday by 6 different people. I placed it on the first time. I have been trained by DVMs and LVT. There was no reason for the poor baby to be stuck so many times!
