The question is why is it illegal to carry in state forest?  You can open carry in a bar or restraunt for personal protection, but can't carry open or concealed in state forests.  The majority of hand gun owners are safe and law biding people.  Any law present or future will not stop poachers, felons, or the stupid ones who screw it up for the safe and law biding people.  I want to carry on state forest land to protect myself and family from wild animals and the stupid ones.

Of course the ones making the decisions of the right laws for us the people are persons who don't go into the forest or their bodygaurds (who have hand guns) go with them.
