I support the petition to allow carrying of handguns in the National Park system

As a Realtor in Northern Virginia I frequently drive on roads under the jurisdictoion of the National Parks system. As a Realtor who shows numerous vacant,  foreclosed properties, I carry a handgun for the protection of my clients as well as myself. Frankly, it just is not feasible not to mention dangerous for me to stop, unload and lock my firearm in the trunk of the car each time I drive on or cross for example , the George Washington Parkway.

In addition, my wife and I own a time share located inside the boundry of the Williamsburg old town area which we frequently visit. Again, I find myself in the same situation wherby  during the short time spent within the bounderies of the National Park, I must stop, unload and place my handgun in the trunk. Again a dangerous act because of the constant handling, unloading and loading.  Then there is the Shenandoah National Park, another area which we frequently visit, either driving along Skyline Drive or through while visiting friends in the valley below.
