I possess a concealed-handgun permit issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. 

To get this permit, I took 8 hours of professional instruction, half in the classroom and half in the field, and actually have more professional instruction in the care and use of a firearm, than do many Commonwealth's Attorneys in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  My clear background was deemed such after being checked by the Virginia State Police! 

Please note that my background and experience is not exceptional, but is standard operating procedure for all concealed-handgun permit holders in Virginia.   The Commonwealth of Virginia would  be hard-pressed to find a group of more honest and conscientious people than those granted concealed-handgun permits.

Perhaps most important, however, is the fact that there are no records of which I am aware in recent years, of anyone with a concealed-handgun permit issued in the Commonwealth of Virginia, committing a crime where the permit-holder's use of a firearm was involved.   In the Commonwealth of Virginia, concealed-handgun permit holders are highly responsible people!

Please enact concealed-carry of firearms in all the grounds and parks in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
