Our State Forest should fall under the same laws as the rest of the Commonwealth. The last time I checked, in some counties where hunting with a rifle,hunting with a pistol is allowed with the same restriction as a rifle.The pamplet from the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries states that it must be carried in the open unless you have a concealed carry permit.  Any rule change is then about carry for self defense and should follow the sme laws/rules as the rest of the Commonwealth of Virginia
