A medical procedure as invasive as abortion should be regulated, for the safety of all concerned, like all other similarly-invasive medical procedures. To deny such protection for one form of treatment is to treat those who undergo that procedure as second-class citizens. And it's particularly shameful when the State's sanction of inadequate medical treatment applies only to one gender. Hasn't Virginia progressed beyond this kind of discrimination? Virginia women deserve better, and so do the men who love them.
