Discriminating against a element of our population in adoption and foster care is just wrong.  I'm speaking specifically of the gay and lesbian community.  In that community there exists loving people who would welcome the chance to provide a safe home guidance to a child in need of those, as well as being in need of being wanted.  There is nothing more sad in my mind than an unwanted child.  How can this person become a productive member of society without a firm foundation?  I urge the State Board of Social Services to keep discrimination out of the adoption and foster care process.
