The proposed change would no longer allow Assistants in L'Arche communities to reside in the home with the L'Arche Core Community of persons with intellectual  disabilities.  L'Arche communities are a unique and caring way of providing home and services to people with disabilities.  It would be a great loss to all of us in the Commonwealth for a stroke of the bureaucratic pen to banish the ability of servers and those served to live together in the same house.
