Sirs;  We are writing to urge you to pass the concealed and open handgun carry on national lands.  We feel that this increases the safety of individuals who visit and wish to hike, camp, or otherwise lawfully use the land.  While protection from wild animals is a very minor concern, unfortunately the two-legged predator use of public land is much more nefarious and a many times more likely encounter.  Since when on public land there is no ready means to summons help in an emergency, the lawful carry of a firearm with which to defend one's self makes visiting such lands a much more safe proposition.  Please pass the CCW/open carry of firearms on public land and give those who wish to visit one less thing to worry about.
