Please leave Monument Avenue alone.  I visit Richmond specifically to experience the city's fine monuments and memorials, especially this magnificent and world-renowned streetscape.  Altering Monument Avenue will make the city a less inviting place for tourism.  I for one do not intend to visit the city again if Monument Avenue is changed by removing any of the statues.  There is no need for re-interpretation either.
