Dry Needling is acupuncture. PTs should stick to what they were actually taught in school. Dangerous
I learned over 300 hours of Western Medicine in school. I would never practice it. It helps me to communicate better with my patients but I don't pretend to be an expert. 20 hours training for PTs in dry Needling is very dangerous. I have had several patients come to me after a bad experience with an aggressive PT. Not all patients can or should handle aggressive Needling like dry Needling. Without the education, hands on practice, and theory to dictate which patients are good candidates. ..they are jeapordizing their patients' health. Please, ban PTs from this practice.
