Hi my name is Chelsea Thomas. I am a current dental hygiene student at Virginia Western Community College and I would like to state the fact that, being concerned about the health of my patients and future patients that I strongly oppose any and all scaling duties that are involved in this newly DAII. All scaling duties should be preformed by trained registered dental hygiensts. People who have not been to formal dental hygiene program should NOT be allowed to scale at all, it's not safe for the patient, which should be your first and number one concern. Please do away with this part of the DAII, that is if you are concerned about the health and oral health of the people of America.
