As an eductated certified hygienist I oppose any and all scaling duties for the newly created Dental Assitant II.  This is a critical duty that only an educated oral health professional, who is specially trained to obtain should perform. This goes against patient safety and quality oral health care.   I do not believe that this is in the best interest of the patients welfare.
