I am opposed to a Dental Assistant 1 or 2 performing scallng or cleaning of my teeth.  I have already been a victim of poor dental care and I do NOT beleive these assistants will be adequately trained to clean my teeth properly.  Many dentists will see this as a method to save $ while sacrificing quality care to their clients - believe me, I know from first hand experience what happens when a dentist values $ over quality care.  I want only a board certified dental hygenist to clean my teeth and provide correct teaching to me.
