Let our thoroughly trained dental hygienists perform these duties as they have the back-ground of training and knowledge to monitor patients who come in seeking this vital Professional service and advice.  I have had experiences within my own family that "Prove" to me this is a vital issue to public safety.   As a consumer for 60+ years of Virginia dental services I would only use services I feel adequately protect my Oral Health and that is with my Dental Hygienist.

I believe the established schooling requirements and Virginia State and National Board  testings ensures our communities of standards of care we deserve.  Please do not  change our State standards that some individuals are just waiting to dilute by setting up 'hygiene mills' for their own profit, etc. 

We as Virginians want quality, respectful treatment we receive from our certified Dental Hygienists.
