I have been fortunate to always have good dentists and hygenists. I was diagnosed with LUPUS 13 years ago and I feel much more comfortible knowing that the person who is working on me knows what LUPUS is and how dentistry can effect the patient. The only way for someone to know that is to make sure they are educated and tested on the side effects of dental work, especially on someone like me. If someone who is not educated to a specific level where to work on me, they may miss simptoms that a more educated hygenist wouldn't miss such as small blisters in my mouth ... teeth shifting ... making sure I am premedicated ... of checking my lymph notes for swelling.
