Dear Board of Dentistry, thank you for allowing me to voice my strong objection to the usage of an unlicensed DA(II) in the scaling of any kind of calculus from my teeth.
My teeth are senstive above the gumline and under it. I WANT A HIGHLY EDUCATED AND LICENSED DENTAL HYGIENIST using these SHARP instruments in my mouth.
It doesnt make sense to use a DA to scale tartar from my teeth just because she takes cement off of crowns.
That is like having a DA become a Dentist without going to Dental School since she does so well in assisting the dentist chairside.
There is no difference.
