In this day and age where researchers have linked many systemic diseases to peridontal diseases, any lowering of standards for personnel who treat this disease is ludicrous.  The only reason legislation like this gets sponsored is because dentists simply want to pay less.  This is not in the best interests of consumers, it will be exposing more people to sub-standard care and promoting more disease.  Please protect your constituents and vote no on this dangerous propositon.
