NO to DAII scaling

A  Hygienist is trained to do a thorough job on each and every patient. We continue to learn on a regular basis through Continuing Education. We are dedicated to improving the Oral Health of every patient. As we are finding out how important Oral Health is to Systemic Health, I find it preposterous that you would take Virginia backwards to a lower standard of care.

A light scaling by a DAII would prove to be disasterous to many Type I patients who would end up with periodontal disease in the areas where they are not properly cleaned.  The Dentists are legally responsible and would be opening themselves up to many lawsuits.

Furthermore, I don't believe that any Dentist would lower their prices just because they were paying less to their employees.
