I am absolutely opposed to allowing any dental assistants to scale teeth. Patient safety and preventive oral healthcare is of the utmost importance. Periodental disease and associated systemic disease will be at increased risk to the unsuspecting patients.

To endanger the health and well-being of the public in order to cut costs and thereby increase the income of dentists is more than outrageous.

Please protect our Virginia citizens by not allowing the scaling of teeth by Dental Assistants II.
