I want to add a comment to the current debate. If you permit a DA to scale, that is a disservice to all patients! An RDH goes through two years of education, not a scaling course. Scaling is much more than the DA are educated to handle and there is so much more that goes along with it. The DA's now fresh out of school have so much to learn, I couldn't imagine them having the right to scale. What is that teaching our society about the standards of care?
