I encourage those in the field of dental hygiene  whether student or veteran to voice your concerns  not only in this forum but to the dentist and patients at your office. Be the committed , focused and determined dental hygienist you are with the standard of care  and education you provide not only to your current patients, but to the unserved at risk patients who will be affected by this proposal. Encourage your fellow dental assistants to pursue a career in dental hygiene so they will not be denied all  the benefits that come with being a licensed RDH.  By doing so we can prevent the negative effects to all patients, the practice and to the profession.

Proudly include  the year you were (or will be ) licensed in your comment/summary line.I sent my letter before being able to write it in.  I hope that as you read the positive comments you will take action!
