I have been a hygienist for over 25 years.  During that time numerous political issues have risen which would have negatively impacted the safety and standard of care for the citizens of this Commonwealth.  The Dental Assistant II category is another example of how dentistry would move backwards instead of the increasing quality care.  Advances in what the dentists in Virginia "allow "us to do have been wonderful:  general direction and now local anesthesia.  I am grateful for that, however I view the undermining of our education, license, and profession is at risk with this effort.  Please do NOT support this issue.  Elizabeth Di Silvio, RDH
