Having been a  practicing Hygienist for 32 years, the thought of this subject greatly disturbs me.

We have fought long and hard for our careers and our patients well-being.   Our skills, abilities and education which we are able to share with our patients are immeasurable. the importance of our education and skills come to light when we help to educate patients in linking periodontal disease, heart disease and diabetes etc. to their lives and that with proper scaling , oral hygiene inst. recare and homecare they can obtain oral health along with overall health.

We ask that this proposal not pass, I have seen over the years the great strides we have taken and goals achieved,  I fear many patients will suffer, due to lack of education not to mention skills of proper scaling &rt. planning , if this proposal were to pass.
