NO to dental assistant 2

As a patient and as a fiance of a dental hygienist, i know what dental hygienists training entails.  Dental hygienists go through hours of supervised training to become the skilled clinicians that they are. I do not want a "dental assistant" that in some cases has no prior school training and can walk off the street into the office and be trained in the office to learn how to scale my teeth.  Would you want an nurses assistant coming off the street and performing duties such as placing IV's into veins and other important services that an RN does? ASK yourself would you as a patient want that kind of service performed and the services cost just as much as if a hygienist or dentist performed the procedures? I doubt dentists will decrease the prices of their services if dental assistants did it...the service was still performed. Please say NO TO THE DENTAL ASSISTANT 2.

Thank you for your time.
