I fully support this petition on menhaden fishing of Virginia waters. I have first hand seen the destruction and death of marine life (bycatch)  following the wake of menhaden boats in the Chesapeake bay on multiple occasions while recreational fishing. There needs to be a more aggressive stance on protecting our ecosystem and this delicate forage fish. Our future generations will not get to know the Chesapeake bay as we once did with the volume of this precious fish being hauled out of Virginia waters by the millions if something is not done soon.
