It is my understanding that the DA II would be minimally trained to use sharp instruments below the gum tissue, which would leave all of the rest of the debris (endotoxins, plaque, and tartar) untouched AND the dentists utilizing an assistant would still charge the patient for a cleaning visit even though the debris has been left below the gums. I find this very troublesome and do not feel that the DA II should be able to scale below the gum line. Thank you
