I am employed by Sigora Solar, the largest provider of residential solar in Virginia, with an offering of energy efficiency to all the homes we serve.  Policies like net metering are crucial to the growth of solar energy in Virginia.  Arbitrary limits to net metering will inhibit Virginians from going solar, reducing their carbon footprint, achieving energy independence, and improving the environment.  It will also impact the jobs of workers in the solar industry.  Virginia's Energy plan should expand job-creating incentives, not stifle job creation and hurt Virginia solar contractors.
