I support this petition.

The lawful carry of handguns must be allowed in state forrests.  U.S. citizens have the right to self-defense.  Denying the legal carry of handguns in state forrests would be a denial of the right of citizens to defend ourselves.  Criminals do not follow laws and will not feel bound by any rules intended to prevent them from being armed in state forrests.  Therefore, we need to be able to defend ourselves.  Citizens who carry weapons legally are responsible people.  Do not disarm us.  Instead, society should be concerned with criminals.  Law enforcement personnel cannot be present at all times to prevent criminals from threatening and harming law-abiding citizens.  It is up to us to be able to defend ourselves.
