Evil does not rest. On the contrary, it seeks an opportunity to act, and our parks are no exception. In fact, If I were seeking to do evil, I would probably consider such a venue.

To those that hold the rights of our individual citizens in the balance of your power, please consider their right to carry as no different than the right to lock the doors of their own homes.

I am a ten year veteran of law enforcement in this beloved state, and it pains me to think that our law abiding citizens have to ask permission to defend themselves in the crime ridden world that we live in.

This is not a petition to carry in a sensitive area such as a court room, etc. Parks are open the public, and thus open to crime.

I strongly support this petition.
