SUPPORT

I support this. In very rural areas like where I live, I can especially see this being a good change. There are not enough LVTs and while I support and encourage people to go to school for additional training, I think there are plenty of wonderful vet assistants who have many years of experience and have been well trained by the vets and LVTs they work with to allow them to place catheters in emergency situations. I would want to know someone was able to help my dog immediately, rather than wait to find an LVT and vet who didn't already have their hands busy trying to save my pup's life.
