Individuals must be certified to do specialized task. Ive worked at many practices. Majority of Drs do not have the time or patients to guide people who do not know what they are doing. Nerves can also be damaged. I even feel assistants should not draw blood unless under the direction of a LVT or DVM. Ive seen one too many times of assistants poking a patient numerous times without tagging out. Since we understand more about behavior we should be making tighter regulations not looser.
