It's about time!!

It's about time that consideration towards individuals' right to protect themselves and their loved ones from four and two-legged predators be not limited to outside State Forests.  Anyone who fears legally armed law-abiding citizens needs to get their heads out of their heinies and start fearing those who fall under the category of "criminal".

However, I do feel that consideration should be made to limiting this to concealed only.  Unless you are in uniform, or those who are legally hunting.  Especially since they were already walking around with a non-concealable firearm (i.e.: hunting with a rifle or a shotgun).  NOTE:  Even though I am a Law Enforcement Officer, I am not an advocate of the open-carry method.

The bottom line is criminals, by definition, are not inclined to pay attention or follow any existing laws.  The chances that these individuals are already carrying a firearm in State Forests is very good.  Let us empower law-abiding citizens to take responsibility for protecting themselves as well as those close to them.
