I am in opposition to this ban. There have been no shootings in state agency buildings. Since 1960 all but 2 shootings have occurred in "gun free zones." This shows that such zones are unsafe, and this law would only increase the number of such zones. Further the governor has no such authority from the Virginia state legislature to enact any such law.
