Strongly support this bill

People need to read the bill instead of letting the few people that have a alterior motives at the risk of safety ruin this sport. This is a sport were the only goal is to harm your opponent by either joint locks, chokes or Knock outs. If you do not understand the need for high standards you do not belong in this sport. I have been to many shows where they have had untrained and incompetent officials. I have seen unnecessary injuries, and to be honest we have been lucky to have not seen a death in Virginia. Another point that needs to be addressed is that the new bill changes the wording so that amateur boxing won't be held to the same standards as pro so this will allow amateur boxing to  resume after this bill is passed. I do understand the need for competition in any industry but it can never be at the expense of safety. Hopefully it can be amended before it gets passed to include the VCSS as they seem have the track record to be competent. The UCS or whatever it is called seems to only exist to sanction one event and I have only heard bad things about them. Again, please read and understand the bill before you let fear mongering  by a few put the safety and integrity of this sport at risk.
