My name is Pete Joyner  I am a registerd and certified USA Boxing coach that has participated in the Virginia Amateur Boxing for the past 30 years.I have trained amateur boxers that would become professional such as 6 times World champion Purnell "Sweet Pea" Witaker. I have trained inner city kids that do not have the fanancial support to afford the blood testing  every 6 months.This bill will prevent our kids from competing in our state,regional and national tournaments this bill will also keep our kids from participatating in the Junior Olympics Nationals. In addition out of the 50 states Virginia will be the only state with no representation for future Olympic games.

I strongly oppose House Bill NO 1228 Please repeal or amend the changes to DPOR Professional Boxing and Wrestling Event Regulations that became effectiveOctober 1,2015 amd make USA Boxing the governing body and sanctioning organizationfor all Amateur Boixing in Virginia.
