Legal self defense should not be prohibited on government property

Legally armed citizens should not be prohibited from carrying a weapon for self defense. This rule should follow existing law. There are adequate laws in place to regulate illegal weapons or the illegal carry or use of a weapon. Those persons visiting State forests with the intent of violating the law are not going to enter state property without a weapon with which to commit a crime simply because of the present rule banning such activity. Honest citizens can choose to carry a weapon for self defense or not. Honest citizens that think it isn't necessary because the rule bans guns are naive.
