I wholeheartedly support the increase in CEUs for LVTs.  The current standard of 6 CEUs per year is well below that national standard of 8-10 CEUs per year for veterinary technicians.  The body of knowledge increases so greatly every year and technicians need to stay abreast of current information and trends.  With the plethora of free CE available from VALVT and other local, state and national organizations as well as free CE offerings online from a multitude of sources, there should not be a financial hardship created for anyone by this increase if they are motivated enough to seek out no cost options.
