I strongly urge you to allow both open and concealled carry in our state parks.  I believe it is a fundamental right of every citizen of our country and every resident of this wonderful commonwealth to keep and bear arms.  The decision to carry a handgun for self defense should be available to all who can legally do so.  As a native virginian who has subjected myself to fingerprinting, background investigations, and additional training to obtain a CHP, I would like to be afforded the opportunity to carry in state parks.  Please adopt new park rules to reflect the changes outlined in this petition.
