Why would you give away rights

I challenge you, if you are truly trying to save lives, to fight against cars that can go > 80 mph.  There is NO need for such.  They kill more people than firearms.  They kill 1,000,000 more people then people who carry concealed.  We also have no need for heavy vehicles.  They are just as deadly.  Cars should weigh no more than 1300 lbs.  That would save many more lives ... And there is no reason not to create cars that can only be driven when attached to a breathalyzer that continuously monitors blood alchohol.  That would make cars safer and save even more lives.  Oh wait, this is america,  I thought from some of the comments we had switched to communism.

Why are concealed handgun owners constantly assumed to have the same ill intentions of criminals? They are safer with firearms than the ... police! These laws aren't for regulating criminal behaviour, they only restrict the rights of law-abiding citizens. Typically the safest segment of society!

I'm sick of people who are sure that gun free zones are safer places. The examples are numerous, but it just doesn't get thru. Safety is an individual responsibility, just because you don't value yours doesn't give you the rights to trample the rights of others.
