I think it makes sense to adopt the ADA code of ethics because it is the standard for many state's Boards, and there is nothing in it that is contrary to what you are trying to do. I think since so many other ADA guidance documents are used in other areas, that this sets a standard that would make you want to use it also.  We don't need to remake all codes, since there are already universal acceptance of this one.
