Extend Pend should be eliminated because it becomes too confusing for workers and clients.  Why would you hold an applicaton an additional 30 days after you have already notified the client that the application will be denied/closed at the 30th day from application date?  In large agency like Richmond City extend pend becomes more of a henderence to workers who need to process their applications and move them out.  Holding on to applications an additonal 30 days takes up alot of space in our file cabinets our intake numbers are very large.
