I strongly oppose the proposal that somebody who'd like to become licensed as a professional counselor in Virginia should have graduated from a program that is accredited by CACREP. Many of our students who graduate in Pennsylvania move to other states. If approved, this legislation will cause hardship to others who received their degrees in programs that meet the requirements of CACREP, but are not accredited by CACREP.
