Abortion clinics do not uphold womens rights! Instead, they destroy them by taking advantage of women and giving them substandard care. Abortion is about money and politics and never about the care of women! These women are ushered like cattle so quickly through an abortion clinic that they rarely have time to think. The information that abortion workers and staff give them is incomplete at best and does not prepare the girl/woman for what she is about to go through.If these "clinics" really cared about womens health, they would be willing to go "above and beyond" the required safety measures to make them safe for women. But the fact that they are FIGHTING the standards shows that they dont want things to be safe. Instead they want to cut corners so women arent safe! Please dont stand against these regulations...if you do, you are an accessory to the harming of young girls and women who have no understanding of what they are getting themselves into when they get an abortion. You are an accessory to the injury and death of women by shoddy procedures performed by incompetent doctors and staff. You are also an accessory to do the death of every newly formed child in the process of development who dies in an abortion clinic. I hope you will consider not only the safety of women during an abortion but also consider the life of a child who doesnt have to die because the mother doesnt want that child. Please consider upholding the standards that Virginians fought to have passed and keep in place.These standards are ESSENTIAL to womens health and safety even if she does decide to have an abortion. Without these standards, more problems will continue to surround the abortion industry and more "secrets" will keep women from getting proper care. Abortion clinics MUST uphold the same standards as any other surgical facility. Its time we kept those standards high for the health and safety of all women! Lynn Metzger
